Medicus Healthcare Solutions Announces New Executive Chairman & CEO

Medicus Healthcare Solutions (the Company) is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Matarese to serve as Medicus’ Executive Chairman. Mr. Matarese will transition from his current role as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and transition day-to-day leadership and responsibilities to Medicus’ current Chief Operating Officer, Robert “Bob” Dickey, who the Board of Directors is pleased to appoint as CEO of the Company.

“We have been discussing this transition for some time, and this is a natural progression,” Mr. Matarese said. He added, “Bob has done a fantastic job leading Sales and Operations of the business since he joined, and with his background of over 20 years in the staffing space, we are thrilled for this transition. I’m highly encouraged with what I see in the Company’s future. The team is strong and I look forward to continuing to support the company as Executive Chairman.”

“Joe has done an incredible job building Medicus into one of the largest locum tenens companies in the country, and we appreciate his vision and leadership over the years,” said Peter Magas, Partner at BPOC. In partnership with management, BPOC led a recapitalization of the Company in October 2018. Pete added, “This transition is part of the Company’s long-term strategy, and we know Bob will transition seamlessly into the CEO role. Bob has invaluable experience leading rapidly growing, large staffing companies, which will be instrumental for Medicus’ next phase of growth.”

Prior to his appointment as CEO, Mr. Dickey served as Chief Operating Officer since August 2017. Before joining Medicus, Bob served as a Group President at Randstad, a global staffing organization. He has more than two decades of experience in the industry and was instrumental in the organization’s extraordinary growth. As the Company’s Executive Chairman, Mr. Matarese will continue to serve on its Board of Directors and focus on long-term strategy and on leading strategic initiatives for the Company.
