Prior to becoming a founding principal of Beecken Petty O’Keefe & Company in 1996, Ken was an investment banker and financial advisor to healthcare companies. From 1989 to 1996, he worked at First Chicago (now JP Morgan Chase) and a related joint venture. Prior to that, he worked in the Corporate Finance Department at Smith Barney, Inc. in New York, specializing in public offerings and mergers and acquisitions for healthcare companies.
Ken serves or has served on the board of directors of Corizon, himagine solutions, Inc., Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc, Origin Healthcare Solutions, PerfectServe, Inc., Same Day Surgery, LLC, and TeamHealth, Inc. Ken is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Marillac/St. Vincent Family Services, a Member of the Steering Committee of The Chicago Community Trust LGBT Fund, and a Member of the Advisory Board of The Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation – The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Ken received a B.A. degree in economics from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. degree in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
